personal note from darshana

Hi!

Are you as happy as I am with this Indian summer we are having?
I just LOVE the warm weather. My body just craves the heat.

I also feel really fortunate because I get to spend the 4th week of each month in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

From the day I met my husband, he always wanted to live in the country and I wanted to live in the city. After 4 years of being together we found an amazing solution.
Now we rent a place in the city and also one in the mountains.
And honestly- I LOVE IT.

So this week, I thought I would try to inspire you to spend some time in the outdoors.
Get it while the beautiful weather is here.

In health,

health tip

There’s no two ways to slice it: being outdoors supports you health.
It’s good for your heart, your lungs, your body but mostly, for your soul.

When I lived in NYC, I hardly got off the island of Manhattan. And yet I remember times when I went to visit friends or family outside the city. As the bus went over the George Washington Bridge into “the country,” my body would expand, I would slow down, I would relax, hear my thoughts and mainly, I would feel more “like me”.

I didn’t want to admit it- I loved the buzz and excitement of Manhattan and everything there was TO DO.

But as I started to make health a priority, I realized that I needed some time out of the city, away from the doing and more time OUTDOORS (just being).

And believe me, I know how hard it is to PEEL yourself away from the lists, the errands, the friends and the hobbies, etc... But the pay off from being outdoors is worth it.

So this week, I would love to offer the suggestion of getting outside.
It doesn’t need to be out of the city. (Although I highly suggest a trip to Tennessee Valley (which in is Mill valley) or Mt. Tam)
A trip to Golden Gate Park, the beach or even a sitting under a tree or on the grass in your neighborhood will do.

As I mentioned in my personal note, we have the weather on our side this month. So before the bay area rain starts to blow in, take this time, breathe the fresh air, feel the sand, relax in nature…nourish your soul.

If you need some support, post on Fruition’s discussion board and ask someone else if they’d like to join you.

We are all here to support each other with our health.

First, we never had an official

FRUITION HEALTH HAS MOVED to its new office party.
So we'd like to have you over to our new place and help us bless the space.

Secondly, this is another way to help our community grow.
Our past and current clients have met each other in cooking classes, women’s groups and meditation classes.

This event will be a bit more “un-official”
It’s just a way to meet other people who are looking for a healthy community of friends.

Here are some of the event highlights:

Awesome food -your hosts will be cooking,
and we would love it if you could bring something as well.
But its gotta be "healthy" …use recipes from the cooking classes or sessions.

Our dear friend and former client Pamela Rosin will be offering
Mini chair massages J

Meet new friends
Introduce other people in your life to the Fruition Community
(that means we want you to
bring your friends, family , co-workers…)

FRUITION WOMEN'S HEALTH

INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP PROGRAMS

It's taken many years to establish your current eating habits and lifestyle. Making healthy changes will take time as well.
Have you thought about enlisting support from a caring health counselor who can help you create the changes you desire?

The Fruition Women's Health program can do just that.

This unique program is not a diet.
It doesn't work by imposing restrictions or attempting to eliminate the foods you love. Instead we will explore how to add the nourishing elements you need to bring yourself into balance.

If you are interested in transforming your relationship to your health, the food you eat and your body for the rest of your life contact us now at info@fruitionhealth.com or call 415-552-8344 to schedule your free initial consultation.

During the session we will review your health history in detail and discuss your health goals. Then we will work together to design a program that focuses on your specific health concerns using the tools of holistic nutrition education, coaching, cooking classes and emotional support to achieve your health goals.

We look forward to supporting you with your health!
