I see you. I hear you. I am you.
As a teenage actress obsessed with my weight, I would eat nothing but grapefruits, melba toast, and canned tuna for days. And then suddenly I'd find myself binging on entire boxes of Quaker Oat Squares, Skippy peanut butter from the jar, full bags of pretzels and boxes of Mike and Ike's candy.
I've struggled with my own health.
By age 25, my health began to weaken. I suffered from poor digestion, mood swings, and an irregular menstrual cycle. I decided that I didn't want to take medications or pills. I wanted to take charge of my own health and intuitively knew that I could do so with the right food, support and goals that met all my needs and values.
I got help and took charge of my health.
I found a nutrition and health counselor and learned how to nourish myself. I also sunk deeper into my meditation and yoga practice. My counselor and I focused primarily on my diet, but also explored how my career and relationships affected my health. A month later, my physical ailments were almost gone, my emotions evened out, and my thinking was clearer. This is the first time I deeply made the connection between a balanced diet and a balanced life.
My life was transformed beyond my wildest dreams.
This led me to change my career. I became a nutrition counselor and Program Director at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, where I spent five years helping transform the lives of hundreds of students by sharing with them cooking skills, nutritional know-how, and coping strategies to foster a healthier relationship with food. I also completed yoga teacher training and began teaching students how to support their health through yoga.
Continuing my healing path.
I moved to northern California in 2001 and attended Bauman College of Holistic Studies. After graduating from Bauman College I was asked to teach in their Culinary School. Today, I am excited to be living in northern California and enjoying being a new mom to a beautiful baby girl. And I'm thrilled to share this incredible work with women all over the world through my counseling and coaching practice.
I believe in an approach that considers all that you are.
When we develop an attitude of patience and compassion we learn how to receive the nourishment we need to feel full and complete. Our health is not only made up from the things we eat but also the food that sparks our spirit; such as fulfilling relationships, work you enjoy, having fun and feeling connected to yourself.
I'd love to support you.
Once we draw from the nourishment of the land we will also draw from the seat of our soul. In our private sessions, we'll cover all the tools you'll need to feel comfortable in your body and live a life you love. Then we will create a healthy lifestyle plan just for you. I look forward to supporting you on your path to health. Click the contact tab above to email us or call 831-335-2151 to schedule your initial consultation.Posted on May 25, 2010 at 10:14am —

I hope all is well with you. I would like to thank you for the cleanse group that you lead this year and give you some feedback on how the cleanse went for me. I realized a lot of the healthy foods that was introduced to last year were still a regular part of my diet (yEAH) and for this reason i think the cleanse was more challenging.
So my challenge was to try and do the juice feast for more than 1 day. I manage to do 3 days and 2 nights. It was ok, i certainly do miss the ritual of preparing, cooking and then the enjoyment of eating food. Food is a family event for me.
I think that this year i have learnt subtly how to listen to want my body wants versus my mind. I say subtly as sometimes i hear my body quietly say you don't need a glass of wine and mind says hmmm yes you do that would be lovely with this meal. I think alcohol is my biggest challenge as i definitely hear my body the next day even after 1 glass of wine, saying I do not have the energy or power to do want i want today.
Anyway i actually do have a couple of questions about my health and my sisters. Please let me know what forum would work best for you. It is 2 questions and maybe take 15 mins of your time. Would it be best to schedule a phone appointment?
Thanks for you time.
Antoinette
I'm sorry i missed class today. I have a chest cold and I did a detox wrap yesterday which made me feel really sluggish. Is that normal? I'll be working on track 2 and 3 this week. Is there a guidline area for track 2? I was looking through the fruition book but could not find a step by step guide.

I am very excited to hear about your programs, thank you!
Very Best,

I am remaining open to the universe and to magic. I am keeping myself free of worry - focusing and feeling the positive vibes. Which is a daily and mintue by minute task:) I am designing a clothing line rooted in the healing arts...which, in time will be much more than just clothing...and I am trying to figure out HOW TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
I have never felt so alive and pumped and excited for another idea before..which says alot because I am a serial idea enthusiasts! I so sincerely believe in this idea and have gotten alot of positive response from the people I have told...some who are in and are not in the "health & wellness industry". A friend of mine always says....aint nothing to it but to do it. Ahhh, where I also stumble...
I just have to do it.... but there is a voice inside of me that says...HOW!!!!???
anyway...sorry for that...it all just spilled out:)
any advice?
